The record of my eternal quest to revive, repair, renew and improve the mechanicals that surround my life with a minimum of expense - power equipment, tools, autos, household mechanicals, computers and the like. I seek to bring the the dead to life and more life to the dying.

Welcome to Shoestring Workshop. This is basically the log of my various home projects, which includes things like repairing disused power equipment, fixing the car, repairing the furnace, installing a softener, building thing around the house, fixing up old tools and so-forth. Most of my projects I do on a shoestring budget, hence the name. Supplies and tools are often bought on clearance, at estate sales, of were just plain free from somewhere. After all, I could not hope afford all these projects on our budget. I hope others find the content of this blog helpful and are encouraged to try some themselves..
